PANTGLAS OWNERS
CLUB Wales An ideal base for exploring the rugged grandeur and
countless places of interest for which Wales is renowned, Pantglas Owners Club
is located in secluded countryside near to Carmarthen and 56 miles from
Cardiff. Built in the mid-19th century, the original hall was destroyed by
fire, but its tower was preserved and forms the focal point of this beautiful
42-acre resort. Pantglas combines an almost idyllic country setting with modern
holiday living. There is a full array of on-site activities, including
excellent dining and extremely comfortable accommodation comprising attractive
and well-furnished Scandinavian-style lodges.
A land of song, ancient
castles and mysterious legends, Wales is equally famous for its spectacular
mountain scenery, contrasting with wild moorlands, green valleys and crystal
clear streams. Visit nearby Carmarthen which, on the banks of the River Towy,
is the county town of Carmarthenshire. Enjoy exploring the varied coastline,
which offers an infinite choice of rock pools, secluded coves, bays and
beautiful sandy beaches. Walking and fishing are popular leisure pursuits,
while no holiday would be complete without visiting the international folklore
centre of Llangollen and the picturesque hillside village of Betws-y-Coed. In
the north, trips to the famous Snowdonia National Park and Conway Castle (built
during the reign of Edward I) are a must. |
