family. In addition, there is excellent cross-country skiing, ice-skating,
winter paragliding, tobogganing and every conceivable type of winter sport
available in one of the nearby ski towns.
Summer visitors can enjoy
Europe's longest summer toboggan run, hiking, biking, horse riding, canyoning
and white-water rafting, sailing, kayaking and fishing, as well as bathing in
Lake Ritzen (Saalfelden) and Zeller Lake (Zell am See). The attractive lakeside
town of Zell am See also offers an attractive pedestrianised old town, lake
promenades and a network of lifts for mountain excursions. On Zeller Lake, (4
km long and more than 1 km wide), boat trippers can stop off at pretty villages
along the shore. A romantic night cruise is also available. |
